Documentation for Carrel, a local-first desktop app for reading and organizing EPUBs, PDFs, and comics you already own.
Install Carrel, import books, organize your library, read with highlights and bookmarks, look up words offline and build a vocabulary list, browse OPDS catalogs (including ones that need a sign-in), sync across devices, read from your phone — switching profiles, saving words, and saving books for offline reading — and adjust the app to fit how you read.
